The release of draft sections of the Inquiry into Public Education, the Vinson Report, have driven vigorous debate about the future directions for public education and raised a number of issues for the monitoring and funding of non-government schools.

In his talk Professor Vinson highlighted the evidence for the main findings of his work and discussed the implications he sees for the future operation of government and non-government schools.
