Types of membership

The more members in the Forum, the stronger a voice representing an independent Christian perspective on education issues.

All members receive four issues of Nexus, two of which include Occasional Papers. The magazine-style Nexus contains articles on ideas, theories, practices and policies with a Christian viewpoint; news of upcoming publications and meetings; and your contributions.

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP

There are two types of membership: Individual and Associate, both valid for one calendar year, January to December.

Individual membership is divided into four categories: Sustaining, Individual, Student and Concessional.

Sustaining Membership covers all publications including four issues of Nexus, occasional papers, three issues of the Journal of Christian Education, any other publications produced during the year of membership and provides assistance for ongoing development. $165.00

Individual Membership covers four issues of Nexus and occasional papers. $82.50.

Student Membership for a full-time student at a tertiary institution. $41.25.

Concessional Membership includes retired persons, missionaries and staff of certain Christian organisations. Please apply to the Board unless already in place. $44.00

Persons seeking to be admitted as members of ACFE must express their personal faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour, Lord and God, and accept the Objects and Rules of the Association.

Associate membership is open to individuals representing a recognised Christian organisation or institution, or the organisation can become an Associate of ACFE. $44.00.

Members in this category receive the four editions of Nexus and notification of seminars, publications etc.

Journal of Christian Education annual subscription for three editions is $55.00; available on the membership forms. Individual members may also subscribe to the Journal of Christian Education at the special rate of $44.00 per year; $22.00 for student members.
